Dr. Figueroa has practiced at Omni since 2006 and is an active voice in the West Haven and New Haven Spanish-speaking communities, where she gives health talks in both languages on the benefits of chiropractic care.

Dr. Awilda (Lexy) FigueroaChiropractic Physician
Dr. Awilda (Lexy) Figueroa is originally from Isabela, Puerto Rico, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. Growing up, she watched both parents suffer from back pain. Her father, a veteran, injured his lower back in the service, and her mother developed pain after three pregnancies. Both found relief through the care of their local chiropractor.
While studying for her degree, a chiropractor she met invited her to shadow him, and that day she fell in love with chiropractic care. She left her beloved Puerto Rico for Connecticut to study at the University of Bridgeport School of Chiropractic, and has been practicing at Omni since she graduated in 2006.
Dr. Figueroa is well-versed in Applied Kinesiology and has completed hundreds of hours of postgraduate coursework. She is an active member of the Spanish-speaking community in the West Haven and New Haven areas, giving health talks in English and Spanish on the benefits of chiropractic care. Since 2011 she has served on the Board of Directors at the Hill Health Center. She is a proud wife and mother of two, and returns to the sun of her beautiful Borinquen as often as she can.
