Workers Compensation

Getting injured at work is both common and traumatic. Physical therapy is the first step on your road to recovery so you can return to work pain free as soon as possible.

Common Workplace Injuries

People most often think about workers compensation in the context of physically demanding jobs. But as we know, workers compensation injuries can occur in any job. Some common injuries include:

  • lumbar and/or thoracic spine strains

  • strains of the shoulder and associated shoulder injuries

  • neck injuries and impingements

  • herniated discs and lower back pain

  • injuries caused by repetitive use and overuse

  • job site related accidents, injuries, or trauma

Claim Process

The workers compensation claim process can often be very confusing and difficult to navigate. Omni can help! This is why we are here, to give our patients first-rate support and treatment so they can get out of pain and begin enjoying life again!

After you suffer a work-related injury, your first step is to report the injury to a supervisor.  Then, once you have filed a claim with your employer, you need to see a doctor. Here at Omni, we provide chiropractic care, medical care, and physical therapy services using a team approach, which makes things more convenient for you as an injured worker.

Your treating physician at Omni will take a detailed history of your injuries, perform an examination, make diagnoses and form a treatment plan which is individualized to each patient.  In some cases, this could be chiropractic care, medical care, further testing, imaging, physical therapy, a modified return to work schedule/plan, or a combination of these approaches.

You can come see us first and our billing department will verify your workers compensation insurance and get approval for the visits. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible due to the large amount of stress and confusion already inherent in the worker's compensation system.

At Omni, we are here to help you with your workers compensation injury needs. When you schedule your appointment with the Omni office of your choice, you can provide us your claim information so that we can keep clear records for your adjuster.

Please do the following in preparation for your physical therapy appointment at Omni:

•           If you were given a referral from another provider, please bring it with you to your appointment

•           Bring your claim information: claim number, adjuster contact information

•           Be prepared to provide your work injury date and your employer’s information

How Can OMNI Help?

We understand that each person and each injury is different. During your first appointment, we will take the time to hear how you were injured and evaluate your symptoms, strength, and range of motion. Upon forming a diagnosis, we will work closely with you to help decrease your pain, strengthen your body, and get you back to work as soon as possible.

Your journey will typically begin with focused treatment to resolve the pain and other acute symptoms related to your injuries, while being provided stretching and exercise programs and other treatment modalities to restore range of motion and mobility.

The final phase of recovery is to transition into a work conditioning/strengthening program to prepare you to return to the demands of work, depending on your job requirements. This will ensure full recovery and minimize re-injury concerns while returning to a demanding job environment.
