Dr. Richard Powers

Dr. Powers has been living and practicing in Connecticut for more than 15 years.  He was raised in a small town in Vermont where he was first introduced to chiropractic after suffering migraines as an early teen.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Castleton State College.  He then entered the restaurant business eventually owning a restaurant and inn with his wife.  After starting a family he decided to follow his passion for helping people and went to New York Chiropractic College.  He graduated with honors and was chosen to do an internship at the Hartford Hospital.  Since that time he has spent years working with different practitioners from Orthopedic and Neurosurgeons to Ayuverdic and Chinese medicine practitioners.  He completed extensive post graduate work in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine and is certified in medical acupuncture.  He has been practicing acupuncture for more than 12 years. 

He treats a variety of patient types with varied techniques with a large focus on the muscular component.  He enjoys treating athletes and has treated several professional and amateur MMA fighters as well as Crossfitters, weekend warriors, college, high school and grade school athletes. 

Besides helping people, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children.  He also tries to get back to Vermont whenever possible.           

Mindi Steinhardt, M.D.

Dr. Steinhardt is a born and bred New Yorker. She graduated from the City College of New York and New York Medical College. She completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Stony Brook University Hospital, and then came to Connecticut to work as an anesthesiologist. When she retired from anesthesiology, Dr. Steinhardt began to further dedicate her professional career to helping patients manage chronic pain and address the causes of acute pain. She has been with Omni since 2012. She has two grown, married children and a grand-dog.

While Dr. Steinhardt spends most of her time at the East Haven location, she provides medical support and oversight for all Omni offices and patients.
